The brightening light of a new day bestows pastels of blue and pink on the sky and sea in this creative interpretation of an original photograph. Looking out upon that beauty is a single bench, empty just now, positioned before a line of rocks along the shore. The bench is an exuberant turquoise, and painted upon its back is a brilliantly yellow rising sun in front of which leaps the silhouette of a single dolphin. The mood and metaphor are those of happiness, and expectation, and serenity, and peace, and hope for the day and the future.

Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.
