Description
Pieces in this series focus on scenes and objects in nature, which are specifically identified in the title - in this case, the a pile of connected bubbles. From that natural, original photographic element, arises the artist's additional interpretations through creative abstract digital exploration.
Here, the many interconnected cells of the bubbles, particularly when seen in black and white and reduced to a graphic design, made me consider the complex connections of the urban environment in the physical layout of the streets and in the neighborhoods and in the personal connections of the inhabitants of the areas.
While abstract art doesn't specifically represent external reality, but exists somewhat independently of it and may seek to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors, and textures, it can, as in the case of this art piece, take specific realistic elements as springboards for creative excursions - emotionally and metaphorically.
