Description
Pieces in this series focus on scenes and objects in nature, which are specifically identified in the title - in this case, fallen oak leaves. From that natural, original photographic element, arises the artist's additional interpretations through creative abstract digital exploration.
The scatter of oak leaves becomes a swirling abstract design in a digitally enhanced image. The patterns seem to shift and change, as though in an eddy of wind, the longer one considers the organic forms. Perhaps that is the heart of our enjoyment of nature. It is always changing, always new, never static.
While abstract art doesn't specifically represent external reality, but exists somewhat independently of it and may seek to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors, and textures, it can, as in the case of this art piece, take specific realistic elements as springboards for creative excursions - emotionally and metaphorically.

Elegant, surreal, sensuous. Also it reminds me of some of the better science fiction illustrations. Indeed, this may be the way other species or those who haven't arrived on Earth yet might see here. Wonderful treatment.

Stephen, thank you. I've always enjoyed science fiction, so I especially love your comment here.
