Photograph - Original Photograph Further Creatively Interpreted
Description
Pieces in this series focus on scenes and objects in nature, which are specifically identified in the title - in this case, the beautiful, iridescent feathers of a pigeon. From that natural, original photographic element, arises the artist's additional interpretations through creative abstract digital exploration.
Here, seen very close up, the feathers overlay one another in a riot of jewel-like colors - blues, greens, golds, oranges. Considered separately from their live wearer, the pigeon, they become a beautiful exercise in color and form.
While abstract art doesn't specifically represent external reality, but exists somewhat independently of it and may seek to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors, and textures, it can, as in the case of this art piece, take specific realistic elements as springboards for creative excursions - emotionally and metaphorically.

What a beautiful natural abstract, Mitch - I love the colors, lighting, and processing! And thank you so much for choosing my Higan Cherry Branch as a pod in The Best of Minimalism! l/f/tw
