Description
Pieces in this series focus on scenes and objects in nature, which are specifically identified in the title - in this case, sky, clouds, and foliage. From these natural, original photographic elements, arise the artist's additional interpretations through creative abstract digital exploration.
Here, intentional camera movement in a sweeping arc accomplished the abstraction I was after and introduces a feeling of speed, by the elements viewed and by the viewer as well. The camera movement technique always surprises and creates something unique each time it is employed. One simply would never be able to achieve identical images this way, and that is definitely part of the attraction.
While abstract art doesn't specifically represent external reality, but exists somewhat independently of it and may seek to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors, and textures, it can, as in the case of this art piece, take specific realistic elements as springboards for creative excursions - emotionally and metaphorically.
