Artist's Description

In this digital painting, the gunslinger lying on the dusty ground, with outstretched arm and gun, has clearly come to the end of the trail. His vanquisher, we think, stands near, although we see only his legs in shadow. The background of this scene from the American West is an abstract design of earth tones, suggestive of the rough country that spawned such characters.

About Mitch Spence

Mitch Spence

Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.
