Description

Usually a walk through the wetlands in Florida along a boardwalk is uneventful except for the thorough enjoyment of the area and of nature's bounty. Although it isn't unusual to find alligators (Alligator mississippiensis) anywhere in Florida and particularly in the ideal habitat of the marshes, it is something of a surprise to find one thinking of enjoying the boardwalk with you. Here, the gator, in profile, seems to be considering the viewer very carefully to see if that person wants to bravely scoot on by and continue on the long stretch of the path beyond.
