Description
The slim, beautiful antelope seems to be dancing an elegant ballet here, standing on its back feet. The gerenuk (Litocranius walleri), whose name means giraffe-necked in the Somali language, is native to the Horn of Africa and the African Great Lakes region. Its long neck helps it reach to feed on leaves other antelopes can't reach.
