These two American alligators (Alligator mississippiensis) are having some sort of communication. Doesn't seem to be quite a fight. Could be something else entirely, of course. At any rate, the "get off my back" caption seemed appropriate, especially with the bottom gator's mouth gaping completely open in a great roar..
Alligators, commonly called just gators, are native to the southeastern United States and inhabit fresh waters such as rivers, lakes, marshes, swamps, and the like. They are also sometimes found in brackish waters as well. The alligator is Florida's official state reptile, and if you live in this state and are anywhere near water, you've undoubtedly got one of more of these as neighbors.
