Description
Pieces in this series focus on scenes and objects in nature, which are specifically identified in the title - in this case, the always shifting glints and patterns of light as water moves and changes. From these natural, original photographic elements, arise the artist's additional interpretations through creative abstract digital exploration.
Here, one moment of moving sea water as waves roll in and out is captured. The patterns created by nature in this way are always changing and never repeated. It is a singular and fascinating image that is produced each time because capturing the ever changing combination of light and water movement always surprises and creates something unique each time it is employed. One simply would never be able to achieve identical images this way, and that is definitely part of the attraction.
While abstract art doesn't specifically represent external reality, but exists somewhat independently of it and may seek to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors, and textures, it can, as in the case of this art piece, take specific realistic elements as springboards for creative excursions - emotionally and metaphorically.
