There's undeniably something in old doors and weathered wood and rust that we're drawn to and that can be beautiful. I found all those things here in this aged door: unpainted, gray, and cracking wood, key hole with turquoise paint sort of slopped on its edges, a turquoise, probably quickly painted, door jamb, and in the middle of the old wood, a thoroughly rusted slot for mail.

Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.
