Description
The parade's in town, or rather in Myakka River State Park in southwest Florida. The parade of American white pelicans (Pelecanus erythrorhyncho) is moving along serenely on the Myakka River. The white pelicans winter in Florida but do not breed here, while the brown pelicans are year-round residents. The original photograph has been treated with a digital painting technique to enhance the glowing light, colors, and beauty of the natural scene. The shape of the piece is in panoramic mode, wide but slender top to bottom, to suit perfectly the parade feeling and metaphor.

Mitch Talk about "getting all your ducks in a row!" -- I prefer seeing the above Pelicans! This is a beautiful image, and wryly humorous too -- and your digital technique is of the highest order. -- superbly done!!
