At the famous San Diego Zoo, a lioness sleeps away the day stretched out on the top of a 4 X 4 vehicle that is part of the lion habitat. Beyond the lion are the beautiful and natural hills and landscaping of the zoo and the white clouds in the blue sky, making it seem as though there are no walls or enclosures here, that this is the lion's natural environment, and that the vehicle has for some reason been abandoned here in the midst of a safari.

Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.
