This old-fashioned, rustic porch shows part of an old wooden rocking chair sitting on weathered boards strewn with bits of hay. Behind the chair, a metal washtub peeks out, and next to it is a black metal milk can with a decoration of bright autumn leaves wrapped around it. The scene, the colors, and the textures are warm and rural, reminding us of older and simpler times perhaps.
Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.
