For anyone who loves old trucks, this vintage pickup specimen, presented in a digital painting from the original photograph, is a beauty. Its rust and dents and scrapes become beauty marks here and the colors are full of life and pizazz. The truck has been modified it seems with custom wooden bed enclosures. Beyond the vehicle are two signs for the railroad crossing itself and one, perhaps redundant, telling the motorist to yield as well. Beyond the signs are summer green trees and cloud-scattered sky.
Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.
