And perhaps eggs existential as well, since eggs bring to mind so many things - birth, beginnings, fecundity, soul, creativity, ideas, savings, nesteggs . . . and on and on. This basket contains both white and brown eggs, and perhaps there's an important concept in that combination as well. The basket and eggs are surrounded by warm colors and textures and light and shadows, making them the stars of the piece.
