Eggs in a wire basket - some essential elements of traditional still life art. And perhaps eggs existential as well, since eggs bring to mind so many things - birth, beginnings, fecundity, soul, creativity, ideas, savings, nesteggs . . . and on and on. This basket contains both white and brown eggs, and perhaps there's an important concept in that combination as well. The basket and eggs are surrounded by warm colors and textures and light and shadows, making them the stars of the piece.
Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.
