The dressmaker's mannequin is covered in snippets of antique papers. They appear to have come from many vintage sources, including perhaps magazines, letters, newspapers, and even sheet music. One reads, for example, New York Charles Scribner's Sons 1932. The tones are reminiscent of old-fashioned photos, perhaps sepias or tintypes. And as a finishing touch, an antique lace handkerchief is attached like a neckline scarf with a pearl tipped stickpin.
Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.
