When seen very closely, parts of the world become abstracted, minimalist, and somehow bigger and more interesting than themselves in whole. That seemed to me the case here for this piece of a bright yellow automobile at a car show. The slanted grillwork and its chrome and its shadows become only a fascinating geometric exercise in this view.

Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live.
