The sun is going down, casting a warm glow, while a tiny baby tree frog is going up, hanging on to the screen in this close-up image. The screen is probably at least a partially safe haven from the many dangers of the world there are for a little one like this from down on the ground and up in the air. The frog is in silhouette, and the screen is clearly visible as a supporting grid, showing just how small this fella is. A few soft plant fronds provide more background along with the golden light. These little guys never cease to engage and delight me.
Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.
