The fishing boat, the Marie Catherine, pulled up onto the sea shore in rural Ireland has clearly seen a long life on the water and in the weather. The red hull still seems bright, but the wood shows the ravages of wind and rain and time. The boat is surrounded by the classic green grass of the Emerald Isle and has as its background the rough coastal rocks and ocean verges.
Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.
