Blue and pink and lavender suffuse the sky and the water in early morning beauty. While the blue tones are cool, both the pink tones and the still hazy sun making the scene glow promise the day will be warm. And metaphorically, this minimalist landscape could perhaps suggest a day of happiness, serenity, and good things on their way. The scene existed in actuality at Charlotte Harbor, in Port Charlotte, Florida, but it could, of course, be a seaside scene from any coast anywhere in the world.
Featured in the Best of Minimalism group July 2019.
Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.

Gorgeous colors - make me think of sherbet for some reason but that's not at all warm. Lovely natural abstract. This is one of my two pod's in the Best of Minimalism group for July 10.
Mitch Spence replied:
Thank you, Nikolyn, for both the comment and the pick.
