The combination seems so odd, that you might think this was some sort of composite image, and that the steps and railing were digitally introduced to the scene. But that's not the case. The steps and metal railing are a reflection of an actual stairway across the street. I don't know that I would ever have noticed this except that I was out photo hunting for stairs for a theme in a photography group I belong to, and in this quite flat area in which I live, buildings of more than one story and, consequently, stairs are definitely at a premium. Although much of my career had been in editing and writing, I have been delighted for some time to concentrate on both photography and artistic creations based on photography. Through this medium I thoroughly enjoy the world, from city to suburb to country, from my roots in the US Midwest to fascinating Florida, to Ohio, where I now live. My artistic interests are eclectic. Much engages me. I hope my art will please and engage you as well.
