Description
The stem of the pink hibiscus bloom bends low to the ground and places the beautiful blossom close to the viewer and occupying about half the frame of the image. Behind the single flower is park land, with a mulched area, green grass, leafed tree, and summer blue sky full of clouds.
Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae. The genus is quite large, comprising several hundred species, and the flowers are sometimes called rose mallows. They are native to warm temperate, subtropical, and tropical regions throughout the world. A tea, which may be served hot or cold, is made from these flowers.
