Description
The orange red canna lilies and their emerald green foliage take on something of a fantastical quality here, where they're viewed only as reflections in the water of a pond. The water moves just enough to give a sense of impermanence and fluidity to the otherwise sturdy plants, and the deep blue reflection of the sky makes a lovely background for all.
The genus Canna includes ten species of flowering perennial plants, all of which have showy blooms and foliage with a tropical feel. Interesting fact: In China and Vietnam, the starch from this plant is used in the making of cellophane noodles.

Mitch A beautiful "reflection abstraction"!! (I make a huge number of water reflection shots, but don't have them up on FAA, as they are sold as signed numbered pieces) there is no limit to the ways water can alter a reflection to produce beauty, abstraction and mystery!! In this one I dream of being in some tropical rainforest deep in the Amazon jungle! Fabulous!!
