Description
It's a pile of North American river otters (Lontra canadensis), and it's pretty hard to tell just how many. One cute face, however, is clear and pointed right at you. The others are in a heap. Two more? Three? I found these guys at the Cleveland, Ohio, Metropark Zoo and loved looking at this pileup. These semiaquatic mammals are generally most active at night and feed on whatever might be available to them - including their favorite, fish, but also amphibians, clams, snails, etc.
