Description
The color is striking in depth and brilliance in this orange hibiscus. The single bloom is shown here, with new buds suggested at its base. The background of the flower is a digitally produced and painted floral motif of blooms seen from the top and repeated many times over.
Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae. The genus is quite large, comprising several hundred species, and the flowers are sometimes called rose mallows. They are native to warm temperate, subtropical, and tropical regions throughout the world. A tea, which may be served hot or cold, is made from these flowers.
